Terms and Conditions
1. Bookings & Contract
1.1 A binding contract is formed when you complete the online booking and receive a booking confirmation.
1.2 The person making the booking confirms they are 18+ and responsible for all participants in their group and for compliance with these Terms.
1.3 We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion.
1.4 These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us and you. No oral or written statement outside of these Terms shall form part of the contract unless expressly confirmed by us in writing.
2. Health, Safety & Participant Eligibility
2.1 You are responsible for assessing your own physical health and deciding whether you are fit to use heat/cold exposure. You must not participate if you are advised against sauna or cold-water immersion by a medical professional.
2.2 Contraindications may include, but are not limited to: unstable or severe cardiovascular disease (including recent heart attack), uncontrolled hypertension, serious arrhythmias, severe peripheral vascular disease, cold urticaria, Raynaud’s disease, uncontrolled diabetes, fever or acute illness, open wounds/contagious skin conditions, recent surgery, epilepsy, pregnancy (seek medical advice), or if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. If you are in any doubt, consult your doctor before use.
2.3 You must follow all staff instructions, safety signage and rules. We may stop or refuse participation if we have concerns about your safety or behaviour.
2.4 Alcohol & drugs: zero tolerance. If we reasonably believe you are intoxicated or otherwise unfit, entry will be refused and no refund given.
2.5 Age: 16+ only. Under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult who accepts these Terms on their behalf.
2.6 Hygiene: shower before sauna/cold plunge; wear appropriate clean swimwear; remove lotions/oils; tie back long hair; no glass containers on site.
2.7 Personal property: bring your own towels/robes unless otherwise stated. You are responsible for your belongings at all times.
3. Assumption of Risk & Your Responsibilities
3.1 Sauna and cold-water immersion involve inherent risks, including but not limited to fainting, dizziness, hypothermia, hyperthermia, slips/trips/falls, and aggravation of underlying health conditions. By participating you voluntarily assume these risks to the fullest extent permitted by law.
3.2 You agree to use the facilities responsibly, move carefully on wet/uneven surfaces, stay hydrated, cool down/warm up gradually, and exit immediately if you feel unwell.
3.3 You are responsible for any damage you or your group cause to our equipment or property (beyond fair wear and tear). We may charge reasonable repair/replacement costs.
4. Our Liability to You
4.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
4.2 Subject to clause 4.1, our total liability for any loss or damage arising out of or in connection with the Services shall be limited to the price paid for the relevant booking, provided such limitation is fair and reasonable. We are not liable for: (a) loss of profit, revenue, business or opportunity; (b) indirect or consequential loss; or (c) loss or damage to personal property brought on site.
4.3 We will provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. If we fail to do so, you may be entitled to remedies under consumer law (see clause 14).
5. Safety Rules (Sauna & Cold Plunge)
5.1 Sauna: limit initial sessions to short durations; sit on a towel; do not touch stove/heater; add water to stones only as instructed; leave immediately if light-headed.
5.2 Cold plunge: enter/exit slowly; never dive; do not submerge your head unless trained and safe to do so; breath-hold practices are prohibited; have warm clothing available for rewarming.
5.3 Supervision: Children under 16 are not permitted. Under 18s require an adult in the sauna area at all times.
5.4 Emergencies: follow staff directions; report any incident immediately.
6. Arrival, Lateness & Conduct
6.1 Please arrive 10 minutes before your slot for briefing. Late arrival may reduce your session time.
6.2 We may end your session without refund if you breach these Terms, behave abusively, endanger others, or cause damage.
6.3 Serious breaches of these Terms entitle us to terminate the contract immediately without refund.
7. Weather, Location & Access
7.1 Our Services operate outdoors and may be affected by weather or site conditions. We may relocate, modify, delay, or cancel sessions for safety or operational reasons (including high winds, storms, flooding, or access issues).
7.2 If we cancel for safety or operational reasons, we will offer you a free rebooking or a refund of the session price. We are not responsible for ancillary costs (travel, accommodation, etc.).
8. Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows
8.1 Your cancellation: For dated leisure services, statutory cooling-off rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 do not apply. We nevertheless offer the following goodwill policy unless your confirmation states otherwise:
More than 72 hours before your session: free reschedule or refund.
24–72 hours: reschedule only (one time).
Less than 24 hours or no-show: no refund/reschedule.
8.2 Group/private hires may have different terms as stated at booking.
8.3 Our cancellation: see clause 7.2.
9. Photography & Marketing
9.1 You may take personal photos/video provided you respect others’ privacy and follow staff instructions.
9.2 We may take photos/video for marketing on our channels. We will never identify you by name without your consent. Please tell a staff member before your session if you do not wish to be filmed or photographed.
9.3 Any personal data captured through images will be handled securely and in line with data protection law.
10. Privacy & Data Protection
10.1 We process personal data (e.g., contact details, booking information, health declarations) to run and safeguard the Services. We act as data controller.
10.2 We will handle your data lawfully, fairly and transparently, keep it secure, and only retain it for as long as necessary.
10.3 We may use third-party booking/payment providers (e.g., Calendly, card processors). Your data may be processed by these providers under their own privacy notices.
10.4 You have rights over your data, including access, correction and erasure, subject to legal limits.
10.5 See our separate Privacy Notice for full details, including lawful bases, retention, and your rights. Contact us at [insert email] for data requests.
11. Gifted/Third-Party Bookings
Where someone books on your behalf (or purchases a voucher for you), they confirm you meet the eligibility requirements. You are still required to accept these Terms before participating.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including extreme weather, utility outages, site closures, strikes, epidemics, or governmental restrictions. If affected, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible with options to rebook or refund.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect operational, legal or safety changes. The version effective at the time of your booking applies. We will post the current version on our website.
14. Your Consumer Rights
These Terms do not affect your statutory rights. If our Services are not provided with reasonable care and skill, you may be entitled to remedies under consumer law (including repeat performance or price reduction, as appropriate), as per the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
15. Complaints
Please raise any issue with staff on the day where possible. Otherwise, contact us within 7 days of your session with details. We aim to respond within 10 business days.
15.1 If you remain dissatisfied after our response, you may choose to pursue your rights through the Scottish courts (see clause 16) or, where applicable, through an Alternative Dispute Resolution scheme.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) are governed by Scots law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
